Can someone let me know what size, shape, format etc. image can be used (uploaded) as avatar picture on the forum, please?
I've tried to upload photos without success....Thanks.

The overall size must be less than 2Mb

Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately I'm still experiencing the same issue (system does not show the uploaded image).
Perhaps there is another rule in place on top of size limit? (i.e. cannot change 2x within 24 hrs or something?!?)

There are no time limits, just a file size.

Have you tried less than 2Mb as if you are close to 2Mb then with checksums and other overheads it can exceed the limit

My avatar image is 1223KB and I tried to upload it from my Samsung Android tablet and a Windows 7 PC as well.
I'll try today again.

I've tried again from my Windows 7 PC without success. It only shows the file name but not the actual image. Email sent.

Sorted.

There is something wrong with the all the photos downloaded from Google's app called 'Photo'. BigJimny site looks like simply does not accept any of them regardless of size. :unsure:

I've uploaded the very same photo to another (Hungarian Suzuki 4x4) offroad forum which accepted it no problem. :whistle:

Then downloaded from that site and uploaded here as my avatar. Worked!

That site has dramatically compressed the size from 1223KB to 186KB but seemingly kept all details and resolution! It's beyond my understanding how.... :blush:
