I have spaces for a couple of cars on a nice easy day trip on Thursday 31st October if anyones interested (short notice i know).

Route is a loop from Bowness and takes in nice hard surface lanes with good views, maybe the odd ford (water levels dependent). Not particularly scratchy either, just a gentle day out. Plan is to get a fry-up in Dalston at a good little cafe and bimble around for the day, lunch around Keswick area probably.

I think Sniper expressed an interest but if anyone else wants to tag along, speak up!

AND there's an open invite for anyone who want to come to Drumclog pay-n-play site on Saturday 16th November as well.

Ive been there once and its a good fun site with plenty of varying terrain to play on. I think the group i'm going with has about 16 cars so far (Northeast greenlaners), so should be a good day out.

Will send you a message on whatsapp mate, be good to have you along and i'm sure a test drive of the M18 is in order ;-)

It is a bit of a long haul for you all the way to Bowness mind. 1st lane of the day is at Burgh by sands, last lane is near Kirkbride and its a massive loop via Keswick and the Whinlatter Pass down to Loweswater, back by Cockermouth and a few south of Wigton.

Thanks Riccy for plotting the route and leading a great day out. Love the lakes..... (and putting this post together)

Tanked up three times with all the motorway miles, three and a half hours to get home.... all of it in rain and half of the A66 in thick mist. Crap journey but worth the hassle / cost to see a mate and drive some of the most scenic lanes in the country.

My first time seeing Ric's truck cab build, proper work in that, a very nice bit of engineering. Had a short drive too and it is a monster.... 1.8 all the way...

Looks like a good day out! Eventually I too will have the availability for midweek play days and when that happens I will join you.
