My ""Kum ba yah" rendition...and your past escapades, we're all set for a great adventure. George can cook the sausages.

It's a great part of the World - I fish up there most summers, Unapool, Drumbeg, Lochinver and Inchnadamph.

Lambert has wisely chosen mid October - by when the midges should have gone (note, "should have").

Mind you, Andy, you are making it sound like "Camp Chippewa" - from Adams Family Values.

George and I can have our second childhoods!

Or, the nice log burner in the B&B. ;)

I'll have to check but I think there's a hostel bunk house thing that is open then too, instead of camping.

There is a bunk house. Lazy Crofter. 22 quid per person per night. If you're camping averse. It does mean bringing less stuff in the car which is quite a persuasive argument....

Right so. I am going regardless. And am looking at making my bookings in July so that the premier inn Inverness east is still cheap. The camp is usually sufficiently quiet to not be booked until arriving but i haven't used the bunk house so it may be prudent to get on with that sooner than later. I'm not being awkward but I'm only booking for myself because I have fallen foul of group bookings before.

Very, very sensible, in my opinion. Good friends of mine have backed out at the last minute - for completely understandable reasons; but it leaves you apologising to owners etc., and with four times the 'mucking about'.

Will get on and sort myself out.

Thanks Lambert.

Ooo, I might be up for that, depends how I am doing work wise by October, planning an abridged NC trip in the summer with some friends using our own route, doing it more as a 'sports car' group though, wouldn't mind running it in the Jimny & getting to some of the proper secluded beach spots in it...
