Hi all,  Ive just bought a 2004 Jimny which is in good condition (39,000 mls) apart from the missing tailgate gas strut and bolts to hold it on.  Id appreciate any help/advice on this - there seem to be lots of struts about but Im not sure which is appropriate or how these fit onto the body and door.

Hi
I believe the OEM part number is 81800-81816, may help your search.
They look like this
Ball joint side and pin fix to the vehicle body, I assume you can see the threaded hole for this , theres a notch in the rear bumper near the lower hinge to allow it to screw in. The L shaped bracket is fixed to a pin on the rear door.

Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)
