I work with bearings for gear boxes (500 to 25000kW) and other marine equipment. Stupid bosses wanting to save money tried "other" brands and something chinese. We the engineers did warn the economists and of course the end bill was very large.
Beware the copies, one salesman showed me an example of a copy, impossible to spot the difference to the real one visually.
If you consider the work you put into changing them there is no way you will ever save money on bearings. Quality like KOYO is at least as good if not better than SKF an probably FAG.
All other brands is a waste of time and subsequently your money.

Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 BFG MT, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck, 17%/87% high/low gears.

Quite agree. I had the misfortune of listening to someone with a reasonable reputation in our world, trying to sell me some timken ones. They were dead within less than 6 months. I now only use Martin's koyo ones and regularly get 12 to 18 months per set.
