It is a personal category to document Digital Radio operation. It has been created so I have a quick look up reminder of how to do things and also to generally document the Baofeng DM-9HX DMR as the manual supplied with it is sadly lacking in information.

I have also found Digital Mobile Radio to be a very confusing topic area. There is a lot of information out there but most of it is in intensive technical detail, I just want to use radio. Therefore I have interpreted technical speak into user English so I can use the radio.

I believe most of the information below applies to the Baofeng DM-5R (later firmware variants)
