First proper test run

jimny

We took a little test run out today, just a few green lanes around the area to see how she runs. The lanes are generally in very good condition around here following the local council putting down a loose surface on them a few years back. Therefore they are not taxing but there is enough mud and ruts to bounce the suspension around and to require 4WD in places. I am please to say the suspension is great, I do like the Trailmaster springs and shocks. For a Jimny it is a nice ride, very little noise (no creaks, clunks and bangs like the previous pro-comp shock based suspension with low cost springs.)

I also took the drone along to start looking at its active tracking capability. This is where it can follow a moving target. Of course it needs a clear run to do that and finding somewhere without lots of trees and high hedges was a challenge. I have not perfected tracking yet, seems to only follow for a short while, this seems to be because it does not like dark (black) targets (according to the manual) and also the sun is low on the horizon which dazzles the camera. Anyway, here is a test shot.
