So as a first post, here are the award winners.

RAM Auto Design and Bits4Vits sponsored some awards to add a bit of fun to the event. As we mentioned we were a bit flexible with the categories as we were not sure what the cross-section of attending cars would be.

Read on for the details and pictures....

The first category was for best standard Jimny. There were a collection of standard Jimnys all of which were nicely polished. All of them were also on their first time off-road. This was a hard one to call but we decided that Richard Borzecki AKA Nightfury not only had a lovely shiny Jimny but also enthusiastically accepted every challenge thrown at him.

Next came the category voted for by the members who attended the event. Now clearly the members did not listen to the rules or are complete novices at voting as they managed to vote for a Blue Jimny as their favourite! We will not be able to live with Chris Loach (Darthloachie) now as he will no doubt remind us that he is the members favorite.

The next award was for the best presented modified Jimny. This was one by Glyn Charnock AKA Leathery1 who not only had the best presented modified Jimny on display, but also probably had the oldest!. This is because his Jimny was one of the batch of the first 50 imported into the UK as a launch demonstrator for the Jimny range in 1998!

And finally the Best modified Jimny, this went to Greg Holloway (viciouspenguin) for a lovely crafted machine that also managed to drive home after a days hard off-roading (rather than leaving a trail of bright green springs that seem to fall off of a well known Blue Jimny)
