What's the best way to clean old oil was created by Jimnyjack1993
Just bought some old transfer boxes off a mate and I'm planning to clean them up make a rock lobster box, so to my question what is the best way to get the thick oil that's been gathering over time off?
So far I've used heavy duty degreaser and I drill with a wire brush fitting

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Before you take them apart, use the jet washer, but keep it away from any oilseals as it will force water into the bearings.
