Hey!
Might be a dumb question, but can you fit new Jimny's coil springs on a 1998+ Jimny?
Got that idea, bc my father wants to lift his old Jimny a bit, now that it needs new springs. But i got to drive the new one and the suspension felt quite a bit softer.
Thanks!

I don't know what the exact spec difference is for spring rate and length but I understand that they will physically fit. Could be interesting to hear if they do offer a minor lift while being a softer more compliant ride. I know that my 12k 3 year old Jimny ride is quite nice but it's not exactly smooth and compliant, not like the ride in my 155 land cruiser which is like being in a cloud floating along, the Jimny is fidgeting in comparison.

Aye, fidgeting it is. But at least it doesn't feel like every small pothole is gonna separate body from frame like in the '98 lol

Could it also be the dampers? I have no idea if i got it right now, but the spring rate and dampers and the unsprung and sprung weight together play a part in how the system behaves i guess..?
