Which should I go for?
With a body lift do i still need to fit castor correction bushes or/and change shocks?
My car is still a daily commute sort of, so i dont want a big lift but would like to fit bigger tyres than the 195/15's that are on now so a 2" lift i think is about right. What is the total involvement for the Body lift?

No castor correction needed for a body lift

the body lift is the cheaper option and you will keep most of the jimnys ride characteristics as you will still be running standard suspension as you will only be lifting the body by putting blocks on the body mounts, where as a spring lift is just that your fitting longer springs to gain lift

there are some things you might take in consideration: do you want your car just look lifted and go for a masturbative body lift or do you want a real thing that actually LIFTS your car and just your seat? body lift only helps you fitting bigger tiires while remaining on your old suspension. but with bigger tires you will think you can go over bigger obstacles and you minght after one or two damages to your car still need afull suspension lift and you will even take the body lift off of your car. im going through the same problem since im modifying my jimny. and a couple of days ago i ended my philosophing raid about lifting and its just way more logical to go for a suspension lift.

The only way to get more ground clearanc at it lowest point ie the diff is to fit BIGGER tyres but to fit them you will need a suspension lift and also to increase chassis and transfer box and gear box ground clearanc and may need a body lift to stop tyres rubbing depends what you want todo with it ie green laning or rock crawling

thats right my friend. its what i did. for the moment i just have 195.80.15 tires and i need a lift so bad, but i think if its just for tire clearance, body lift is just ok...but you can never go wrong with a suspension lift.
