I deliberately spent a bit more on my suspension mixing and matching to get the ride I wanted, even down to adjustable shocks but even then it can be a bit harsh. I still like the size of a Jimny compared to larger trucks with a more comfortable ride...............could be worse, it could be a leaf sprung SJ :woohoo:

Yea i know what you mean mate tbh if i was using it every day ive got no doubt it would have been up for sale :( i still love the quirkyness of it and it sort of turns heads aswell weather for the right reasons or not i dont know  going to do a bit fishing on the suspension front see what i can find,as most know ive done all my bits and bobs on a buget trying to keep costs down but maybe in some departments its not the answer.i dont need a larger truck was just the thought of the comfort.

I only really hate mine when its broken

That makes me think about selling it more than ever.

Plus the more you modify it of course the more crappy it is to drive even to and from laning.

After I sort my engine I am going to look at creating a bit more comfort back in the car by adding loads of soundproofing and tidying up the interior. Though I won't be refitting carpet I will probably cut some rubber flooring to try and cover large sections of the steelwork. Anyone know how to 'shape' rubber to follow the contours of the floor/transmission tunnel etc.

I've always run my jimny tyre pressures the same front and back because I don't carry any weight in the rear. Try dropping them to 22psi all round it makes a massive difference to ride quality.
