Don't know with Esso, never used it!.
Used to use Tescos with an all star fuel card so I raked in loads of clubcard points.
Now I have a BP card I can only use BP or Total and Nectar points suck.
A friend of mine re-maps car engine management systems and also advises his customers not to use tescos, as they will lack performance and economy. I strongly agree.

No it's never been gas converted! As for fuel I do use tesco's but I've never had a problem with fuel there before? I used to run a Audi S3 and I also have a motorbike and all fuel is bought for tesco most of the time! Maybe I should change fuel provider for a while and see if it makes a difference!!
Thanks

Use standard unleaded as I read somewhere that the optimum or high octane is not that great.
I think clarkson researched it but I don't know who for sure..
