Luckily, the Japanese still use sensible colours, black is earth. The Eurocrats don't.
If you try that logic on a Vauxhall it will end in tears: black is live.
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

You do kind of wonder which idiot thought that up
I'd have made the centre earth, and coloured it black, but what do I know............
I'd have also arranged the males & females in a pattern so you couldn't get the plug in 180 degrees out and blow all the fuses......

That wiring diagram matches the one we used, so that rules that out.
Also checked the trailer plug, it looks brand new so no issue there.
I think rather than try and trace a potential fault in the wiring I'm just going to renew it all with fresh cable.
I found the fuse box, my back's about recovered! I'll put it down to the small dimensions and tight packaging of a Jimny....
Replaced the tail light fuse so at least Jimny's sorted out.
