Poland by jimny would be fine in a nice un modified, road tyred version with the air conditioning on and a terry pratchett audio book on the stereo. It would however be painfully long in a lifted, simex tyred, whistling roof racked quarry basher. It's horses for courses, you have to decide what is most important and most likely to happen most often and set up accordingly.

One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

Personally I wouldn't go more than 20 miles in one, great round town, great off road, no room for anything, no leg room, crap seats and awful on a motorway. If you want to "set up" for a trip to Poland part ex the Jimny for a normal car with real seats and slightly bigger than a smartcar.

What sort of Jimny were you driving? I done a 14 hour round trip a few months ago in mine and I preferred it over my Dads 2014 Mitsubishi Triton and Brothers 2015 Nissan Navara (Both have horrible seats that start to hurt my back after a couple of hours) Tackled the steep hills no worries and even passing people.
Couldnt fault it really, unless you have more than 2 people theres a fair chunk of space with seats down

Sounds like you need to try an sz4 as the seats are really comfy and supportive and it'll wiz along the motorway quite happily at 70 indicated up and down hill all day. As for no leg room I'm 6 ft and 18st and I fit in with room to spare without the seat fully back as I have set the bulkhead of my ply tray forward to get more stuff in the boot. If you are careful with the details it's amazing how much you can get in a jimny.

Did not think they would be available in Japan, as most things seem to be petrol there. Although if they were it would make things easier in terms of right hand drive. The ones I have seen so far have been in Germany but seem to go for a lot more than the petrol ones over here.

On another note, if I were to import a Jimny from Germany, am I right in thinking there would not be too much involved with converting it to RHD? Do I just need another steering rack, dash and extend wiring loom, reposition master cycinder etc? Seems easy enough for parts as there seems to be plenty on Ebay. Any thoughts?
