It's in total off road mag this month, had the cab conversion done by Kap and a cage, but the cage was not up to the msa spec by a long chock so I took the jimny to North off road for a proper safe msa cage to be fitted then took the KRAP one back to Kap, to be fair I got a refund for the cage!
I will not be going back to Kap!
Can't wait to see the new cage built by professionals north off road!

They have a good local rep I think they should see you right, I saw it and decided to park mine a bit away as it would have looked like a hairdressers car stood next to it

Aye it looks big lol,
They are doing the front bumper as well for a red winch, and new winch plate on the back for the 8274.
Need to find a bigger alternator that will fit the jimny if anyone knows? Preferably 120amp +

Why not get the Red Winches 320A Alternator. Or better yet, get the 24 Volt 160A alternator and overvolt the winch.

Are you building it for which challenges?

A 1.3 will probably struggle. But g16b should be fine.

A 120A alternator would probably be more suitable then. But still, consider a 24 volt alternator for a separate 24 volt system for the winch.

Is it a Cobra or Hornet winch you have in mind ?

its the hornet am after, mind you the cobra would prob be ample tom.

I was talking with some folk with the hornets over volted at scotia winch challenge and they say the motors burn out far quicker and the bow motors are expensive so I think I will take it easy with 12 volt for the time being.

am sure I seen a jimny alt with high amps for sale somewhere in Europe ? will try find it

Lots of people overvolt their bowmotors both 1 and 2. I've overvolted my bow1s for almost 2 years without issues.

What burns then out quickly is be people spool in or out without load on the motors making the motor run much faster than it is designed for. So either only run the motor overvolted under load or pulse it in and out.

All the top comp teams use overvolted 12 volt bow2s.
You just need to know that you're doing :)
