OETA JIMNY

My 2010 vvt jimny from Greece....

Today looking with all modes until now:





The last mods was....

-a set of 31x10.5-15 bf goodrich km2 tyres


-for this reason, i change my transfer with one from vvt auto model, which have a 27% reduction, nice for 31" tyres or something bigger


-some light upgrades, i replace the h4 standard burb with a set of h4 led bulbs 60W/6.000 lumen. Very good in low beam, but not too good in high beam. For this reason i fit an 120w led bar and wire it with the high beam. Also i change the side view lights with leds (2x18w)





-and one mode with very good results, was the fitting of veanted discs from vitara 1.6 5d and calipers from the same car. The only modification that need to fit in jimny to change the size from center hole in discs from 107mm to 108,2mm. Very good results, no more curved discs from overheating, and a little more stopping power!

I hear you on the front brakes....I went through 2 sets of discs in quick order.....then went to Vitara callipers and vented discs....problem gone!

The castor correction bushes, will be the next mode in the car. Maybe in current month.

have you changed the gearing on this jimny?

Yes i changed the transfer, with one from a vvt auto model. All the vvt autos from 2006 to 2012 has 1,28 hi ratio/ 2,56 low ratio, vvt manuals has 1,01 hi ratio 2,02 low ratio. Thats a -27% in gearing !
