Body to Chassis Mounts below doors was created by gfinlayson
Afternoon all.

I need to replace/repair my body to chassis mounting points the ones below the doors. It is the shell side i need to fix.

Can these be bought ? or will i need to fabricate something?

Thanks for your help.

Fabrication but not easy. That what you see is the tip of the iceberg so be prepared for a shock once you have gutted the interior and removed all the factory sealant from around the mount.

I belief it is just the body shell and not a replaceable mount as such. Each one will be different and so patches will have to be made to suit as it were.

Hi I'm just doing these on mine now. I have lifted the carpet and cut the floor around the area the mount is spot welded too. I took the mount to a fabricators to have folded up, as there is an odd curve in the mount where it clears the chassis.
I have welded the new mount to a plate I have cut to the shape of the cut out in the floor, after offering it all up so the mount sits in the right place.

So the mount I suppose could be a separate item but as it is spot welded to the main chassis structure then I doubt it would be a suppliable item from the Dealers. But good way to tackle the job though.
