New exhaust was created by mlines
So I took BigJimny in for some fettling over the weekend.

The old exhaust was starting to rust and I found a local expert who hand builds exhausts for some very well known companies. A real expert!

Cracking looking job, that. :woohoo:

Does it have a pleasant sound to it, Martin? ;)

That's a great item, looks the part. Love the fact that people exist that can make 1offs. Plan to get a custom job in stainless steel the next time mine fails. The off the shelf parts are not a good fit (they all need the hammer) and don't last / expensive for what they are. As I plan to keep the Jimny may as well pay a little extra for a work of art like yours.

Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)

Will sort a video. Doesn't go bang but then the ECU will not overfuel anyway. But it sounds nice without being a Vauxhall Corsa with a fart box fitted.

Here is the video

Not perfectly edited but the soundtrack is from a separate microphone for consistency

Well I would be happy with that. Not too noisy and nice rasp.
It's a pity you can see it being well tucked out of harm's way, not like the old rusty "on a slant" silencer brick of the old system.

And with my, admittedly uncalibrated, dB meter it hits 74.9dB at the legal test rev limit in a unscientific test with the car in the garage and the door open. The original exhaust was 65dB. As it should not be more than 74dB in the open air it is definitely just under the limit.
