Hi all, tried to check my oil level the other day and the dipstick snapped off flush with the rocker cover:evil:  , it is m13a vvt, so has anyone managed to remove one without removing the rocker cover and changing all the associated gaskets and seals
Cheers, Ian

Needle nose self locking pliers? Or has it dropped into the sump? Small neodymium magnet glued to a bit of stiff wire?

If it's the plastic that is broken just wind a self tapping screw into it and lift on that.

If you do end up having to take the rocker cover off it's not a difficult job and you don't need new gaskets. Just make sure all the small gaskets around the spark plug holes are in place when you put it back together.
