Rear pannel bit was created by Basketcase
Just wondering f if anyone has managed to find a new rear pannel bit that is behind the rear bumper on the body shell that rots away or what the best way of repairing/replacing it is?

Are you referring to the support for the bumper skin?

On my Junior I cut away the offending rust and the bumper skin still had plenty to hold it on.

Dear God! I hope you like welding. Have you asked Martin, our illustrious leader if he is able to procure?

I actually do enjoy messing with the welder and any other power tools I may need to use :) my welding skills are atrocious but hold up well(somehow), so I’m comfortable using it as structural weld. It looks worse on that photo than I see it as, there’s still 3 sides of the box there haha just need to know what to get to replace or repair it lol I’ve not asked him yet, strangely enough I did t even think of that!!

So we are looking at the outrigger as I call it - did the vehicle have an MoT on it?

I didn’t have a clue what to call it but I’ve seen some folk just swap it out for box section I’m just trying find if that’s the easiest/best way to go about it. Yea it’s somehow got a no advisory mot till August it still does feel pretty solid in most places around that mount but a few cm feel soft, just want to have a look at it befor it gets too bad and needs a lot doing.
