Good morning,

It seems the Jimny has got a N/S/F Brake Caliper problem, looks like its sticking. I jacked it up and that side wheel was difficult to turn compared to the other. It's a 2000 Auto.

I've not been driving it much lately due to having a company vehicle, probably once a week. It's mostly left in 'P' Park with no handbrake engaged, could this be the issue? Also recently had the Brake Pads changed.

Please advise on the best thing to do, I've seen repair kits online, Calipers from a broken Jimny as well as a whole new Caliper but unsure of the route to take.

Thank you.

Personally I would replace both front calipers if you are sure it's not just the sliders needing freeing off as they seize too.

Freeing calipers is not a bad job to do if you are confident working on the most safety critical aspect of the car, if not then you will need a competent mechanic.

Took the Jimny to Cam Suzuki to have the caliper done on Monday, it was a seized caliper in the end so had it replaced. Took 4 days though, but the main thing is it's done.

Thanks for the pointers. :-)
