Best tyers for jimny? was created by Lukeavb
Wanting the best performance offroad, currently got 255/70/15 bridgestone's on, they are not bad but there more road tyre and im looking for something abit less wide and more aggressive for mud, these do catch on the arch but hopefully i can grind my arches out. Whats the best to get out of my jimny with no lift kit at the moment?

Thanks.

Boggers, Maxxis Trepadors or Simex pattern tyres are the best for offroad. All depending on terrain. Sand, mud, rocks etc..

you can get insa turbo special tracks in standard jimny tyre size so they will fit straight on - not the best on wet roads but ace off road - used by many winch trail trucks

Kuhmo KL71s are a good mud tyre but are also fairly good on wet roads as well

Must look good with 255s - any chance of a pic?

Do it right - use Hammerite

I've got 215/75/15 Hankook RT03 Dynapro MT's.

Really awesome offroad, and surprisingly good on-road too.

I'd say the same on-road performance as my gay 205/70 road tyres that I had on before. At a guess I'd put that down to them having a softer rubber compound, which may mean that they wear faster, but that's a price I'm more than willing to pay.

Yeah, you can't beat special tracks in standard tire size category, that's for sure! B)

Again, all about terrain.
I have Special tracks myself (Simex type) And happy with them in the most terrain.

But there are better tyres for rocks and sand, like Trepadors (sticky) etc..

Dave cc I've heard that the super special tracks have a thin side wall so not great at low pressures!

Maxxis Bighorn best all round. Best thing I ever did was ditch Special tracs.
