Jimny Rear Shock Spacers on the Front? was created by Bits4Vits
Stood in the shop thinking...
What's to stop us using the Jimny rear U-shaped brackets on the front?
Nipped out for a quick look at my own daily driver Jimny, and can't see any reason why they wouldn't fit at the bottom of the front shock?... or am I missing something?

Thay would role backwords or forwards
Thay would need 2 bolts to hold them in

Nah, the bolts (pivots) are on opposing plains, so with the bottom bolt (the original one that passes through the tube on the bottom of the spacer) nice and tight it's not going to rotate anywhere?
In fact, even loose, the only amount of movement would be the amount of flex in the bush on the bottom of the shock...? But with the bottom nut and bolt nipped up tight it should in theory work fine?

I'm only thinking about it as I have some +2" springs arriving on Monday, and I bunged some expensive Bilstein shocks that I got stuck with, when I took the +2" trailmaster kit off when I was selling the Jimny..
So I don't want to waste the shocks...
I have got some machined spacers for the tops here, but Bilstein are M10 (coarse) not metric fine like stock shocks... and I don't really want to stick a bit of box-section on the top, which lead me to think about botoom shock spacers... :silly:

That'll be a YES then (with slight modification) -

I needed to re-use the Bilstein shocks as they were a set I can stuck with as they are sooo expensive no-one wanted them in a stock length, so I had to use them with shock extensions / repositioners and did not want to run with bits of box section bolted to the top of my shocks!
That looks better! I do like a Jimny with a bit of a lift...!
Safari Snorkel, hidden winch mount, front recovery points and a steering damper next...
