I'm not sure how to word this, but does anyone have or know about a mod to extend the seat back a bit further. I'm 6'4" and I need the seat to go back a bit further for a bit of comfort.

Thanks!

I think someone used to do a kit for this but also people have done homw brew versions using bits of box and plate.

S200KYS (Dave Jones or zook-bob on ebay) made kits for specifically that as he is a tall bloke.

I cant see any on his ebay page at the moment, but I'm sure if you send him a message he can make some up for you for a good price ;-)

I knew someone used to make them but I couldn't think who! Sorry Dave.

Following
I have the same problem as my son can't fit in to drive.
I think it was zook-bob I emailed a while back but he wasn't making the seat extenders at the time.

I'm 6'2 and find it ok. But is all the way back so I guess those extra 2 inches are just over the limit!

Yea it's actually fine. But my Citroen C5 has a bit more legroom and is a bit more comfy. I drove the Jimny back from Scotland and it was alright apart from a cramp on my right foot from the angle and holding the accelerator at 65mph. Was thinking sitting back a little further would make it a bit easier...

I'll message Zook and see if they've any extenders left...

H folks, sorry, I've not been around the forums or facebook much recently... I've been offroading and tinkering with Suzukis for about 28 years now, and from time-to-time the repetitious same questions get me down, and I wander off for a bit of a rest,,, And you've caught me in one of those periods... And I'm suffering with my eyesight at the moment too :(

(Thanks to Riccy for messaging me to say this was here)

Yes, I used to make and sell seat spacers... after seeing this old thread -

www.bigjimny.com/index.php/forum/6-jimny...eat-position?start=0

I didn't like the way the seat then "hung in the air", so I made these -

So that they made a whole new rail for the seat to sit on but with the holes an inch back...

I sold a few batches but they weren't particularly great sellers... 50 pairs maybe? And they were quite laborious to make, cutting and drilling and then grinding, finishing, powder-coating, etc... so for £40 a pair I wasn't make much for my efforts and gave up assuming one of the bigger suppliers out there would laser cut something 'similar' and pick up the product.. but no-one has to date?

Perhaps someone could ask JimnyBits / SuzukiMods, etc. to see if they would consider making some...

Or, have a go yourselves?

Regards
Dave aka (ZookBOB)
