I must say i'm not a fan of leather seats - too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer - but those do look nice!

Given the lack of available cars I guess the dealers are getting creative in trying to earn some extra money from each and every deal they make - I presume they make a decent margin on each 'extra' they add, and £1500 for bespoke leather covered seats that the customer didn't ask for is perhaps the most expensive so far.

I guess it is a win, win position for the dealer in that if the original customer refuses the car due to extra costs they really didn't want (potentially totalling thousands of pounds) then they will try the next on their long list and if not just list it publicly. Or am I reading this situation all wrong that some customers are having to deal with sharp practice from some dealers?

Looks really good, (and my dog hairs would wipe off ;) ), I didn't get whether you are being charged for them or not though, they would be a brilliant freebie!

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

The dealer probably had a cancelled order. It is a special that the original customer would have requested and probably paid a non-refundable deposit on. So when cancelled the dealer sells it on and gets more money back on the sale.

I was talking to Suzuki about this very car the other day, saying how did it get customised. I was told there is/was a specialist company they used to use but havent in a while as half-leather is an option on most cars anyway. I could chase it further if anyone was serious.

Same as Bill, I'm not normally a fan of leather interiors, but that does look fantastic. Enjoy the new car!
