GeorgeC wrote: Andy, its all part of learning about (old) technology.
My son bought his first Multimeter this week. I would rather get lots of phone calls and have him ask, than make an incorrect assumption leading to an expensive mistake.
You have no idea how difficult it is for me (age + lo-vision) to keep up with new technology.
A good comparison of technologies is the fuel gauge:
For you its a bar graph between the speedo and tacho.
For me its a brass rod poked into a cork, then sticking out of the filler cap in front of the windscreen.
Very true, no shame in asking. In a lot of ways, I like the non tech old days, I only switched to an i-phone 6-8 months ago, i used a £10.00 brick to make calls before that. But i suppose you must of used 2 cups and a piece of string Sorry George, that was a low blow!

Not at all Andy, the distance experiments with size of the tins and type of string led to the invention of Fibre Optic Cable Technology!Andy2640 wrote: I like the non-tech old days, I only switched to an i-Phone 6-8 months ago, I used a £10.00 brick to make calls before that.

I got in touch with Charles at Wagtail. A group has booked it for an event on both Saturday and Sunday, and a parallel one on the Saturday.
Maybe another day...
