Has anyone ordered or had a towbar fitted to their Gen4? I have been told that I can only have 13 pin electrics and will need a converter from 13 to 7 pin. I only need 7 pins and feel paying for 13 is a rip off. Anyone know or had different?

Correct, Suzuki only offer a 13pin electrics kit, which makes sense as most modern stuff uses that connector (and the connector itself is better). 7 pin adapters cost a fiver on Amazon, so not exactly a big deal.

Be aware that the 13 pin is electronically tested at the mot. 7 pin is just visually examined. Consequently the 13 pin needs to be kept in good clean working conditions even if it is only used once a year for the caravan.

It's not a Jimny. It's my Jimny

Is there a "hot" wire direct to the battery available in the rear of the Jimny?
The question I should ask is; where do pins 9 and 13 connect in the rear of the Jimny?

Sorry, no hot-wire. I fitted the genuine Suzuki item which includes a wire to run to the fuse box behind the glove box. The 13 pin Suzuki kit is quite expensive at £125 but fitting is fairly easy.

Thank you CC for the reply!
It's to run a Solar Panel, "key out", but it is looking like direct wiring to the battery terminals may be the way.
I will try to find a set of 13 pin instructions, can anyone help with a PDF or Photo, please?
