Some of the accessories are silly. i.e - the bull bar and rock sliders IMO.

But fitting the grill, wind deflectors, wheel extensions, wheel cover, rear cage fitment and fascia protector are interesting and may be of use to some of you.

For me rock sliders are a must. I have already damaged my sills. I have been avoiding the harder trails because I don't have any armour.

For me rock sliders are a must (the ones on this video are just bling, they have no functional purpose). I have already damaged my sills. I have been avoiding the harder trails because I don't have any armour.

Yeah i agree, those rock sliders are very "bling" and totally wreck the ground clearance ability.

Victor.... Do you have any rock sliders lined up? as in what you have your eye on?

Guy, i contacted the dude on that video, he has a store. I like the 46mm wheel hub extensions! They give the Jim a wider more aggressive stance.

Does that appeal to you or?

Hi Andy,

Like the new photo by the way!

The hub extension and BFG mud terrain combo certainly looks "Gangsta". It suits the look of the Jimny - but whether it would suit me is a different matter. (The other guys in the fishing hut would first fall about laughing, and then probably buy me a (fake) gold medallion and a chest wig!)

More seriously, I wonder how much strain it puts on the axles in rough terrain? Someone will no doubt tell us.

I think I'll let jimnyfox take some photos of the K02s on his new Jimny - and see how "Country-Psycho-Dude" that looks before making a decision. Mind you, that's a look that might suit!

Guy - "More seriously, I wonder how much strain it puts on the axles in rough terrain? Someone will no doubt tell us."

Yeah good point! I'd like to see the 46mm with some more conservative looking tyres, like the geo's or toyo Open c's. Maybe wouldnt be so bling bling then.

But yeah.....wondering about the hub question now ;-)

Cheers Guy.

I was looking at the Wildog 4x4 ones, but apparently customer service is not high on their list. Also after seeing glimpses of how they fit, they won't be tough enough for.my purposes.

Don't go down the hub spacers route if you can help it. They have a very significant negative impact on the service life of wheel bearings and king pins which I guess is ok if you have the time and money to burn. Also while they do aid stability to a certain extent you're not actually widening the distance between the spring seats so the roll centre of the body remains the same. All you're doing is altering the base of support about which the body rolls.

One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.
