More interesting to me would be doing the same test with my track suspension on, I'd like to know how much faster I could do that. Significantly I suspect.

It's looking like August before the next proper one so you're going to have to wait.

Hi Lambert,

Out of genuine interest.... What inspired you to take the Jimny to track days? Very curious, thanks buddy.

Andy.

I have to off road every day being a farmer so it has little recreational appeal anymore. I have had a selection of fast cars over the years and have an affinity with twisting tarmac that I don't with bouncing over rocks. So given the necessity of a 4x4 for the farm and the inherent lightness of the jimny it was a logical next step in my mind to make handling more of a priority than flex and height. It's then but a simple matter of being responsible and reserving the high speed driving for tracks instead of the public highway. Yeah ok there are other cars that are better suited to track use but the Jimny is an excellent laugh and the look on the faces of the stripped out trailer queens is worth it!
