Hi. I've been lurking here now for about 8 months and though I better stick my head above the parapet and say hello.
The name's Mark, I live in sunny North West Cumbria and I've had a 2015 Jimny since September last year. It's name is Quasi beacuase it looked like a little hunch back when I parked off road.
Up to now I've always had Land Rovers as 4x4s, Ser 3 Lightweight (still got but in pieces), Range Rover Classic, early 90, Disco 300tdi, Disco 2, Freelander 2 (still got), Other car history includes Rover SD1 3500, SE5a Scimitar, Mk2 Golf GTi
So far i'm really enjoying the Jimny, it's nice to drive a car that puts a smile on my face. The only mods I've done are 195 80R15 General AT3s, a decent DAB radio and a pair of front speakers and a tow bar. Future mods are yet to be decided, probably after I do the Keilder Safari on Sunday with a couple of mates in their Land Rovers.

Hello back from Cumbria again (albeit nearer Carlisle)
The kielder safari is great. I did it in 2017 and its a great introduction to some laning, on routes not normally open to the public, and for charity (mountain rescue) Brekky is really good too
Some decent AT tyres would help you a lot there. Leave it as it is otherwise
Edit: just re-read and you have sorted tyres, all is well

Welcome and interesting that you are going over to Kielder for a 'green lane' experience when you have so many excellent lanes on your Cumbrian doorstep - with free access. Let is know how you find the Kielder experience - I've seen it advertised but know nothing about it in terms of what you really get for your 'donation'.

Cracking place to live, the lanes in the lakes are special. Even the tarmac sections between them took my breath away.....
Latch on to a trip with the local GLASS rep, it's only a few quid to join and it's good to know you're doing it right. Friendly bunch....

@Riccy, I've had the "pleasure" of working in Carlisle for the past 19 years now, Lovely drive to work via the bypass
@Bob1050 I've driven some of the Cumbrian lanes, but it tends to be on my own which isn't rally the best. To be honest Keilder is virtually on my doorstep as well.
@Sniper, I've lived up here for nearly 30 years now and I still love the place. GLASS was next on my list of thing to join

Just be aware that GLASS is infested with politics. Much of it is very laudable and well meaning but...
