Road tyres

So tyres, I can still get Yokohama ad08r but they have been discontinued so any i get will have been sat on a shelf for however long ageing internally then there's the advan sport a107 but that is more of a touring tyre. The same goes for the Michelin premacy good wear but not very sticky. I have looked at the specialist track day offerings but they are too much the other way loads of grip but no longevity.
Given that many of you also have a hot car what tyre would you recommend?

It's a common misconception that alloys are lighter than steel wheels. Only the most expensive alloys are lighter than their steel counterparts. Most are just a style thing and often far heavier.

I wil probably do the same and get 16" Vit wheels with tarmac tyres at some point, I'm interested in how you get on with the wider tyres. I was thinking of going back to 205's.
Going to low profile road tyres should negate any weight gain from the wheel size...
