First time Jimmy owner after some advice was created by RiverRatJimny
So I've bought a Jimmy. It belonged to my neighbour. Long story short its an MOT fail that I'm going to put back on the road. The main failures are the Kingpin bearings, brakes front and rear, a brake pipe and a couple of welds. Smaller things I can fix at home are bulbs, a coolant leak, number plate and loose/poor fitting battery connections. I'll also change oil/air/fuel and have just got hold of a couple of seats to fit in the back (it'll be a run about for the wife with little ones and has had rear seat removed). Underneath has been welded in the past and the chassis/boot floor etc generally look pretty good- it's had a new engine (04 Suzuki carry @45k) new clutch, cam belt, starter and a 2"lift, its got a cool roof rack and nearly new Kumho tyres. I'm quietly optimistic that it's gunna rule!
Question- Kingpin bearings- where is the best place to buy a kit? I see the store on BigJimny doesn't have stock. I want to do both sides. Whilst I'm at it I'm going to get discs and pads - again where do Jimmy owners recommend to get these?
I'll source the parts and take it back to the MOT guy.
Thanks all!

If you have the luxury of not needing to be mobile the same day then the only sensible option for high quality service parts is the big Jimny store. Contact Martin the admin Mlines and he will hook you up.

The parts you need per side are 2 30302j taper roller bearings, and a 26x38x7 rotary shaft seal. Both will be available from your local bearing supplier.
