Anyone tried X-ShockDakar lift kits?

Hey folks

Been browsing lift kits for a while, I have been really attracted to the Trailmaster kit, as it is obviously highly regarded on here. One of the key plus points I have heard cited is that it is specifically designed for the Jimny, meaning it is more suited to road handling than the likes of AVO or ProComp who mate general shocks to vehicles that fit. However after doing a bit of browsing I have found these guys, they trade as X-ShockDakar, they seem to be based out of a Suzuki specialist garage in Poland called Samurai Serwis.

Unlike Trailmaster however, they are very active on social media and are easily contacted, and based on a wee chat I had earlier, very open about the specifications of their shocks/springs they manufacture themselves in Poland. Price wise they are fairly competitive with the JimnyBits brands, & offer different tiers of shocks and fairly interesting parts packages. The rep I spoke to also said that, whilst they don't rebuild their shocks they do send replacements at a discount to repeat customers (something I'm not sure TM offer, because they never answered my email, or social media message).

Just curious if anyone has ran them and if they are any good, they are cheaper than the TM set, I suppose that disparity could be down to them being made in Poland rather than Germany.

a friend of mine have been running and competing with them for over a year now they seem quite good for their price and everything is bolt on

I've not had suspension components from them, but I did get one of their roofracks for my daily-driver gold Jimny, and that is certainly well designed and manufactured...

Yeah, I was looking at their roof rack when I found their suspension kit.They look good, but are pricey (£260+£40 shipping).

Undecided whether to go for their full roof length XL rack or the normal one.

It's the same as with other cheap full lift kits, like raptop, 4xfourart and such. Shocks are of unknown origin, same with springs. Bushings looks to me like the rest. Cheap.

But, 1000 euro for a complete kit. What would you expect.

A full set of bushings in their shop is only about 1/4 of the price of a full set from SuperPro.

For an offroad-only vehicle it's probably fine. But wouldn't recommend it for anything that goes near other cars, people etc..

Their suspension kits are the most comprehensive I've seen, with options of different spring rates, extended bump stops and brackets to stop the shocks rubbing on the springs. There's a lot more thought gone into them than most of the cheap stuff available.

Maybe it's just me.
But for all I know it could just be longer springs. And doing what others already provide. Like what Zanfi and Jimnybits do.

Yes, it's all in one neat cheap package. But again. You usually get what you pay for.

When will we see someone do a high quailty kit made with build-to-spec Fox/Bilstein shocks, good quality springs and proper rodends or at least quality bushings. That would be interesting, and of course more expensive.

This means that OEM / no lift, remains the best/safest option

I saw a OME(mu) kit on a Jimny, and it needed spacers between spring coils and chassis to correct the car's stance... for me that isn't acceptable after paying premium price for a suspension kit.

Also I fully agree that for road use (and not only), safety should come first.

Having said that I have just fitted new springs progressive from a famous Italian company and had to fit spacers because it was leaning too much I was not happy for the price I paid
So this brand in my opinion is not bad at all after seeing there work and very good price especially for a full 3" lift kit
