Lambert is correct... its a slippery slope with guards, etc. Easy to end up with everything bolted onto it and twice the weight it used to be!

a bash plate for the transfer box and fuel tank were my first purchases as i do greenlaning and have no idea whats coming a lot of the time. The tbox guard has had a few hits but no damage to it or t-box. Shock mount guards were worthwhile, but i havent been that impressed with any diff guards ive seen so far. ended up trussing the axles :-)

Remember that most of the guards just make cleaning hard work, and the t-box guard nearly set the car on fire after collecting a load of dry grass on one outing (right next to exhaust).

Generally the under sides are pretty strong to start with, so unless its competition use i would expect not to need any guards really.
