Thats like asking how long is a piece of string as most insurers offer a huge discount for new policy's, then sting you in year two unless you jump ship..
One year the AA was nearly the most expensive, the next they were cheaper than the rest ?
If your jimny is modded then you need to declare it, so someone like adrian flux does fair deals for heavily modified..
The best suggestion would be compare the furry twat, or ring around

Yeh - I should have been a bit more specific .
Un modified and will only use it on the road about 1000 miles per year
Have other cars so no claims is on another vehicle
I'm an old fart so no problem with age
Direct line quoted about £200
Lancaster Insurance quoted £1150 !!
I guess that ridiculous variation is what prompted the question for the forum

Wine improves with age.
The older I get the more I like it

Ive answered this one before over the last couple of years.
I always shop around and Flux are always in the top 2 or 3 most expensive quotes I get.
Non modded 2013 Jim, full no claims but they always come out very expensive and never offer an explanation why.
Im guessing its a post code (ts6).
Shop around and also look at multi cars for 1 yr, after that they whack it up.
I paid approx 160 notes fully comp this year with privilige
