In a word, no. It is possible but the gains are so small it's not worth the bother. An engine swap is the cheapest way to get more power.

I will follow this with interest. I have found somebody locally that recon's this can be done but I am not sure I trust them.
The clamed increase is HP: 83 up to 95 Torque: 126 up to 139 NM.
I have just emailed them for a quote, ss exhaust + chip just for a giggle.

The reason that I have doubts is that they claim to be able to chip my Civic type S and I know for a fact that its not possible.
Type R yes, but the type S is locked up tight from the factory.

Good luck to them. There's not a hope in hell of gaining 15% from a chip on a naturally aspirated petrol engine!

I sometimes wonder if they understand how engines work when making their wild claims of increased power.......probably the same kind of moron that came up with the big bang theory......you know.....the one where nothing blew up and created everything! Clowns
