Yes get it serviced . Check the plugs to see if there are any signs of running rich. It might be worth throwing in some injector cleaner next time you go on a longish run. It won't do any harm anyway.

I try to only use BP ultimate fuel (98 ron i think) and i get around 15-20% better fuel economy compared to standard unleaded. mind you I get around 170 miles to a tank so all help is needed

I use Sainsburys with the Nectar additive.

Hello, my jimny 1999 fuel consumption record
lift 2" and 215-75-15 tyres
the reduction in consumption coincides with the removal of the EGR valve
