Got my 2007 JLX two weeks ago (my first car!) & swapped out the radio in a Halfords parking lot on day one, but the bolts from the side of the stock Clarion unit were the wrong size for the new Sony unit so I just had it held in place by friction & hope until this weekend when I mounted it properly. Drilled some holes into the DIN pocket in the top bay to mount it far enough forward to meet the fascia. The gap around the units actually isn't as bad as I thought it'd be.

Also swapped out the speakers, evidently some moisture had wicked its way down the wires on the driver's side at some point as the basket was all rusted & the cone itself was warped from the moisture. But there's no sign of any moisture/damage inside the compartment, so I'm not too worried. I ended up removing the plastic of the proprietary connectors to leave the regular female spade connectors bare, so I could just crimp/solder some male ones then heatshrink over them.

Tackled behind both headlights and front body mounts today. Left was non existent and my right was just as bad. I was so busy I forgot to take coordinated before and after pictures so here is the left headlight crater (before) and the right headlight (all welded, filled and painted).

Fair to say I scraped a good amount of southern soil out in the process (Thanks to the BigJimny Meet 2019 for that!).

Had cruise control fitted today to my 56-plate tank today.

Motormods near Tewkesbury, £450+vat for an AP500 and CM35.
3 hours roughly.
The drive home down the M5 in this shi&&y weather was a dream.

And they replaced my speakers as one of the original stopped working a while back.

Changed my coolant.

Well I'm still doing it as I'm sitting in it with heater on full to stop air locks with a cuppa waiting for the thermostat to open. Then I'll know there's no air locks.

It takes a while as I've already done it today flushing the old coolant out!

Fitted a new clutch ( kit) to my 2003 red, at my brothers (GV42) garage, took 8 days! Broken fork release bearing clip, Spigot bearing was goosed, had to make a tool to remove that, and some really tough bolts to undo!

i work full time so had to fit in what i could, getting the box back on was a major effort!

the tool for the Spigot bearing was a expanding bolt and some bits and bobs, everything else failed!

next is change the transfer box seals!
