"Good News"
It's "just" the teeth on the crown wheel... that's where the pinion was spinning and gnarling the crown wheel...
Spare diff in the garage, so just transplant the custom parts and the LSD across?...
Result!

Just a bit of greenlaning?
Suppose it's stressed over time, but Priddbwll / Lie-Down 'lane was tough, and the 'lane we were on when it blew took some getting through too...
All in the blog, which is going to be a bit delayed by the repair works...
And... the blog features me trying to kill myself, and take our-Alan with me too... good job Brett was there to rescue us... oooh, there's a tease!

Thanks Stumpjumper / Daniel30
Repairs didn't go as planned ...
LSD diff on the left, donor diff on the right...
Waterproof Grease and Copper Sealant for the kingpins came overnight Special Delivery, many thanks to Martin, some bags of replacement kingpin and ball seal bolts ready, thread lock and some chalk to mark the diffs to count the teeth...
Both 43 teeth, so a good donor diff with the right ratio...
Just need to swap the LSD carrier across into the donor diff then?...
Bugger! NOOooo... the bearing mount has sheared off
What to do then?
Spare rear axle in the garage Diff out, strip it and steal the 26 spline side gears out of it, strip and rebuild the donor diff with 26 spline side gears instead of the standard 22 then? And then my 26 spline Trail Gear HD shafts and CVs will go in... It will be am "open" diff, but it will get me to Sunday's annual punch hunt!
Carefully layout and label everything...
Hmmm, and then stare puzzled at a 2-pin diff?! I - as most of you know - come from the world of Vitaras, I've been driving them for the last 20 years before 'upgrading' to a Jimny some four years ago, so the diff threw me slightly, so a quick call to my old mate Redacted for some advice, and...
I'm soon into the guts of the diff!
And the 26 spline side gears are in... rebuild the diff into the axle, shafts back in, hubs, kingpins, brakes...
Ran out of time today, back to work in the shop / post office from 6 til 9, so my lovely wife brought my tea round at just gone 8 so that I could finish at 9 o'clock and get back into the man cave for an hour and a half and finish the rebuild...
All ready for the punch hunt on Sunday!
Meanwhile, Redacted has offered to make me a new backing plate for the LSD by machining down a standard carrier! Awesome! So I should hopefully have my LSD back sometime in the future too...

Impressive doggedness, I would still be peering over a mug of tea & considering a number of excuses not to start the amount of work involved....

Diff pegging could be the answer to stop you stripping another crown wheel. Watch this:
Sorry it's about Land Rover diffs but the learning is the same.
Perhaps another service for Mr Redacted to provide, except I fear he is a little over stretched already!
